Founded in 1999 by James and Samy Schiavo, Bushido Academie is one of the oldest MMA schools in France. With their years of experience and expertise, James and Samy are among the pioneers of MMA in France and have made a name for themselves in the world of combat sports.

As veterans MMA professionals, James and Samy have competed in numerous competitions around the world, including the prestigious UFC. Samy was also the first French lightweight to join the ranks of the largest MMA organization in the world. With four black belts in different martial arts, including karate, taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and contact wrestling, James and Samy are true masters of their art.

And they are not not the only ones. The Bushido Academy participates in various MMA and Grappling competitions throughout France. Coaches and students have brought home numerous medals at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi and Nogi competitions throughout Europe, including Open Kombatch, ibjjf and cfjjb.

Representing the prestigious global Checkmat school, James and Samy are both second degree BJJ black belts. And at the Bushido Académie d'Avignon, you can discover their unrivaled expertise in BJJ, Grappling and MMA classes which take place several times a day throughout the week.
